NIGERIA – THE CHANGING DYNAMICS OF A JOURNEY

Lamentably the term national cake was first resurrected by the unholy intervention of the military in 1966 during which the de facto system of our first generation military rulers with their vile ambition milked our nation at our expense. Ever since, our leadership vision mutated and wheezed from that of selfless nationalistic patriotism to selfish and shameless party politics and political rat race meaning politicians chance their luck by making away with our money without accountability or criminal conviction for fraudulently defrauding the nation they were elected to serve. Since then, subsequent politicians implicitly supported the unfortunate “rat-race” resonance in our politics which has made it widely acceptable for public office holders to ‘wield their knives’ and take a huge chunk off the so called national cake.

Scroll back to the 60s, even the political dynamics of our nation were very different, political leaders’ first generation republic completely driven by ambitious set of outcomes, they ambitiously stood for something, they were men of goodwill and courage, appreciably they orchestrated and championed the development of all regions in the country with the exception of none. They braced themselves with their well respected and widely accepted ideologies and intellectual firepower – perhaps putting the nation first before self given the rarity of the situation then. It’s arguable that first republic politicians dedicated themselves as career politicians potentially not as clever career thieves in suits and floating traditional robes (Agbada) we now see in modern politics and on our screens and corridors’ of power. You will recall the likes of well respected political leaders the likes of Nnamdi Azikiwe the great “Zik of Africa”, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Alhaji Tefawa Belewa all of blessed memories they worked acidulously on their ideologies with a rare firepower lamentably absent from the dreadful crop of leaders we now see in Nigeria.

As in everything else, is the resurrection of the six geo-political zones which I mourn lamentably because of its pathetic and sheer opportunistic guise and how it’s being used to siphon or defraud the resources of our nation. All in the name of balance of power to avoid the fury of elites un-intellectual as it may seem, the adoption of the six geo-political strata has outlived its usefulness because it has so far failed woefully to achieve its purpose, thus making governance even less transparent than it’s ever been.  Again, given the vast diverse nature of Nigeria, the most populous black nation in the world and the opportunistic party positioning and petty party wrangling, the six geo-political zones are unlikely to achieve its purpose because it’s more of significant for it’s party rat-race than the true intention and substance for which the zones were created.

Our nation is moving at a breakneck speed whether it’s saving the nation from the grips of corrupt, recycled and un-penitent elites, or the economic and social perdition vis-a-vis senseless miscreants Boko Haram and the spiralling unemployment, or holding unnecessary Bill of Tenure elongation, it is hard to say where Nigeria is headed.

President Omar al-Bashirs World Comes to an End

The world is no doubt very concerned about the people of Sudan and the crimes committed by the arrogant scum Omar al-Bashir in the moment of madness. It gives me joy to see his world and one dark, twisted, disturbed and bizzare period in Sudan come to an end after years of rape, murder, dehumanisation of innocent Sudanese people. It was the one dark period many people could not comprehend because it was bursting with twisted information from the government of Omar al-Bashir. The world will soon see a documentary on the life and times of the sudanese president. Trust BBC will soon be out with the heart breaking footage documentary of the dark period caused by the nutter. I am gathering facts and figures from pictures and amature videos for the world to see. We must purge Africa from the shackles of brutal contemporary slavery by po-faced leaders across the continent,  following the vast scale dehumanisation of the people of Zimbabwe and the gimmicks of a mushroomed government of national unity put together from the unforgettable ashes and spectacle of Zimbabwes recent past.

Arrest Sudanese President – Not ludicrous

The sudanese president Omar al-Bashir is now officially wanted for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur. This is a welcomed development and it is long overdue. We all saw the violent scenes and aggressive tactics used by Omar al-Bashir and his armed gangs to sudue, rape, dehumanise, torture  and execute his own people. The revelations on television are shocking and completely unacceptable in this time and age. Innocent sudanese were forced to watch as their houses were demolished and burnt, parents killed, mothers and sisters raped and subjected to untold hardship. This was the grim reality in Sudan.

This should be a lesson to scums and sub-human scums the  likes of Omar al-Bashir in other Africa countries. I feel really angry when people go out to demonstrate after all the horrible and devastating attrocities animals like Omar al-Bashir have committed. For even accepting money from agents of the government to participate or be a part of the demonstration is a shame. Sometimes closing your eyes is the only option

What the Sudanese people need now is a fresh start no doubt! Perhaps more importantly, the president must relinquish power and as a matter urgency.

As if African crisis is not insulting enough, I find it utterly stupid and and more insulting when people use the word ‘recolonialism of Africa’. Who is ‘colonising’ Africa? And don’t get me wrong I don’t think being dehumanised and made homeless, raped or tortured, killed or kept in solitary confinement by the same people we help put in office, is any way better than colonialism. There is no middle ground when we criminally over look the sufferings of our fellow Africans because some of us amass wealth for ourselves from corrupt governments at the expense of  fellow ‘ordinary’ Africans; those who are involved in this mindless acts and decisions are apparently and ostensibly scums and sub-scums of the Earth.  Perhaps 19th colonialism maybe  better than the self-prescribed brutally slavish contemporary colonialism in some parts of Africa (Zimbabwe, Sudan etc) where innocent Africans endure the brutally slavish condition or anguish, distress, agony, sorrow  caused by fellow Africans. It is incredibly depressing and sad to see images of children, men and women being exploited by scums we call leaders. I hate to see Omar al-Bashir go unpunished. Enough is enough! So a plea to all of you out there showing support for scums like president of Sudan Omar al-Bashir kick him out and hand him over to International Criminal Court.

Zimbabwe

Welcome to Africa-Online Forum. A platform crafted for campaign for real and positive change in Africa for Africans. The face of Africa has become more synonymous with awful things like massive abuse of power, senseless looting, corruption in high places, war, hunger and deprivation, abduction, political instability, military coups, injustice and crime against humanity by Africans against fellow Africans. Africa’s economy is yet to see the rays of light and direction in the 21st century despite its huge and vast natural resources. It is increasingly becoming impossible for investors to green-light investment in the troubled continent because of these troubling trend. We need not to look further, our problems are caused by the same people that we helped into office on the crest of a wave of electoral malpractices, ill-prepared to serve and work side-by-side with the people. Leaders riding on the backs on Africans rather than be on their side. African solution is not all we need we need the International commuinity to play a major role in the development and stability of Africa-its economy, its people and educating the people about their rigths, their strength and their voice in a sensible and responsible democratic setting.
